The iPhone 6 will apparently be water-resistant!

The iPhone 6 will officially be unveiled in a few hours time, but apparently there’s still a detail that hasn’t been revealed in previous reports until now. According to a source close to the Cult of Mac, the iPhone 6 will have a water-resistant body, in addition to a shatter-proof display that’s sporting sapphire glass. The same source also provided complete specs of the upcoming device, which we’ve laid down below.

Additional features:

– Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic
– AirDrop file sharing
– Siri natural language commands and dictation
– iCloud cloud service
– iCloud Keychain
– Twitter and Facebook integration
– TV-out
– Maps
– iBooks PDF reader
– Audio/video player/editor
– Organizer
– Document viewer/editor
– Photo viewer/editor
– Voice memo/dial/command
– Predictive text input

In case you missed that, yes, the iPhone 6 will have a non-removable 1810 mAh battery powering it, which is way less than we thought it would have. We’re really dreading the battery life on the device now, since it’s just a few hundred mAhs up from the battery in the iPhone 5. Considering the iPhone 6 has a bigger display, we’d hoped that the device would have more battery life.

We’ll be up and about during the official press conference later, which is set to begin at around 1 A.M. on Sept 10.
