It Was A Great 2017 For Huawei as a Company

As revealed in its latest financial reports

With the release of models like the P10, Nova 2i, and Mate 10 last year, Huawei has become notably visible last year, and they have the numbers to prove it.

Based on their 2017 financial report, Huawei was able to ship 153 million smartphones—over 20 million of them involving Huawei’s P10 and Mate 9, along with CNY237.2 billion ($36.4 billion) in annual revenue.

In addition, Huawei 2017 total annual revenue was CNY603.6 billion($92.5 billion)—an increase of 15% from 2016, while its net profits are at CNY47.5 billion (US$7.3 billion). To sum it up, it is all green for the Shenzen-based company.

Aside from those financial figures, the brand awareness for Huawei has experienced an increase as well at 86%, compared to 81% in 2016. These positive figures prove that Huawei’s brand strategy—which involves introducing innovative features on its flagship models and expanding their audience with a series of competitive mid-range phones—paid off.

With the positive reception for the Mate 10 and P20, along with the rumored Asia pricing of the P20 Pro, Huawei is definitely stepping in the right direction.
