Tablets are normally used for productivity and entertainment, but Lenovo is giving heavy emphasis on the latter with the Tab Plus. Aside from having an integrated kickstand–something Lenovo has done before, the Tab Plus has an 8-speaker system that’s tuned by JBL and consists of four tweeters and four woofers that are housed in four speaker boxes. While this results in the Tab Plus being thick (the iPad Pro M4 is probably laughing at it), you are getting a total power output of 26w, which is impressive for an 11.5-inch tablet.
To make good use of that powerful speaker setup, you can connect any device to the Tab Plus via Bluetooth as a wireless boombox for your entertainment needs. Its display has a 90hz refresh rate, 400nits maximum brightness, and a 2000×1200 resolution, which should be good enough for your binge-watching needs. The Tab Plus is no powerhouse: you’re only getting a Helio G99 processor that’s paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage.
Other features of the Tab Plus include 8-megapixel front and rear cameras, an 8600mAh battery with support for 46w charging, a headphone jack, and Android 14 out-of-the-box. Lenovo promises two major updates and 4 years of security updates with the Tab Plus.
The Tab Plus has a suggested price of $290(~Php 17k) and will be available in select markets. We don’t know if Lenovo has plans to bring this audio-centric tablet to the Philippines.
