Meet the smaller, more affordable variant of the G3!

LG’s current flagship, the G3, is off to a great start and reports are trickling in that it’s enjoying brisk sales in many markets around the world. It’s not surprising then that the company has announced a lower-cost variant, dubbed the G3 Beat, that gives users a taste of the G3’s features for less.

LG G3 Beat specs

While the G3 Beat has a smaller, 5-inch HD IPS display, it still has a ridiculously small bezel which should make the smartphone smaller than a traditional 5-inch smartphone. The G3 Beat also sports the same laser autofocus system of the G3, though now it’s paired with a lower resolution 8-megapixel camera. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor offers 4G LTE for those data junknies out there, and much like the G3, it will come with KitKat right out of the box.

No pricing information has been released as of yet for the new device, though it will debut first in LG’s home country of Korea before being made available to other countries.
