Hands-on with the LG G Pad 8.3
We stumbled upon a nice surprise during the Nuffnang Blogopolis event — an actual unit of the LG G Pad 8.3! This tablet caught the attention of the global tech world not only because this is LG’s first elegantly designed Android tablet, but it also had competitive specifications including a gorgeous 8.3-inch IPS Full HD display and LTE connectivity. That’s why we were stoked to play around with the unit at the event.
Before we get to our initial impressions, here’s a quick recap of the specifications of the device.

Initial Impressions
The highlight of the LG G Pad 8.3 is really the form factor and the hardware design. It just looks really good compared to a lot of other Android tablets out in the market today. Up front we have the Full HD display. Quality and viewing angles are outstanding. We can already imagine watching Full HD movies on this baby for hours. Perfect for YouTube too!
In terms of materials, the LG G Pad 8.3 is a mix of polycarbonate plastic and metal. It actually reminds us a lot of the MyPhone Iceberg, hehe. Anyway, the materials makes the device lightweight despite the 8.3 size. It’s very easy to use with one hand as well.
With regards to performance, we found that LG G Pad 8.3 to deliver a fast and fluid Android tablet experience. There were still some minor instances of lag but we’re kinda nitpicking since it’s not really that noticeable.
Over-all we walked away impressed with LG’s new Android tablet offering. It’s full of so much promise and hopefully we get our hands on one for a longer period of time so we can do a more comprehensive review.

The LG G Pad 8.3 hits stores in the Philippines 1st week of December with an SRP of Php16,995.
