LG’s W Series Give Emphasis on Value for Money

LG wants to win its audience back

With Chinese brands offering feature-packed phones at cutthroat prices, its rivals have been finding ways to match them. Samsung kicked things off with its Galaxy M series, and LG is set to replicate Samsung’s strategy with the W series.

Comprising of the W10, W30, and W30 Pro, all three phones come with 4000mAh batteries, rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, notched displays, octa-core processors, and Android Pie out of the box.

The W10 comes with a notch-sporting 6.19-inch HD+ display and is powered by a Helio P22 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The notch houses an 8-megapixel camera, and the back panel is home to a dual camera module—13-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera.

The W30 has the same internals as the W10, but comes with a bigger 6.26-inch HD+ display. The selfie camera is better at 16-megapixels and is equipped with a triple rear camera setup: 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 main camera, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Lastly, the W30 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.22-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 632 processor and 4GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. It has the same selfie camera found on the W30 but comes with a different triple rear camera setup: 13-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 5-megapixel depth sensor.

The W10, W30 are priced at INR 8,999(~Php 6.7k) and INR 9,999(~Php 7.5k) respectively and will be available in India on July 3. LG did not disclose the price and availability of the W30 Pro as of press writing.
