Another Dual Camera-Equipped Mid-Ranger
Motorola has been making a ton of noise recently. John was just in Bangkok for the Southeast Asian launch of the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, the E4 Plus finally hit store shelves, and they’re set to unveil another device on July 25. While we don’t know for sure what device they’ll be launching, many speculate that it could be a previously leaked device — the Moto X4, another phone has been making its rounds online that may be unveiled on the same day, the Moto G5S Plus.

As the S in the name suggest, it’s an upgrade from the G5 Plus that was unveiled earlier this year. It sports the same processing package as the G5 Plus, but its chassis has been upgraded from plastic to aluminum and is getting a bump up in screen size as well; from 5.2-inches to 5.5-inches.
The biggest change to the Moto G5S Plus are its twin 13-megapixel rear cameras (one color, one monochrome) that, unsurprisingly, allow you to get that bokeh effect plus a few other creative uses for those two cameras, like: background replacement and selective black-and-white photos. The front camera is also getting a bump up from 5-megapixels to 8-megapixels, because… selfies.
I guess we’ll just have to sit tight and wait for the 25th to know the full details of the device or devices Motorola has in store for us.
