Motorola Officially Launches Moto Z2 Play In SEA

Motorola’s new baby has arrived in SEA

Today we’re coming to you direct from Bangkok, Thailand, where Motorola has officially announced the release of the Moto Z2 Play for South East Asia. The Moto Z2 Play is the company’s latest high-end device, built around their Moto Mod system of modular accessories that first appeared on the original Moto Z Play and Moto Z.

The Moto Z Play was well liked by reviewers around the world thanks to its long battery life and stylish looks, and the Moto Z2 Play builds on that by offering a thinner body, same design language and better hardware.

The Moto Z2 Play comes equipped with a Snapdragon 626 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, fingerprint scanner, 5.5-inch Super AMOLED full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a 12-megapixel, f/1.7 aperture rear camera with PDAF, laser AF and dual LED flash, plus a 5-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture front camera.

The Moto Z2 Play is still compatible with all of the Moto mods that Motorola launched last year, even that 2200mAh Incipio battery pack that you attach to the rear. And while the phone loses a bit of battery capacity, coming in only at 3000mAh, it’s slimmer than last year’s iteration, coming in at a mere 5.9mm.

No pricing is available yet for the Moto Z2 Play, but it is slated to arrive in the Philippines by the third or fourth week of July.
