Motorola has outed new versions of its venerable G series of Android smartphones. The G5 and G5 Plus are practical devices that slots neatly into the brand’s midrange portfolio, bringing solid specs under 5.5-inches. Both phones now sport aluminum bodies which is a big improvement from last year’s model, as well as refreshed innards to match the offerings of the competition.

The Moto G5, for example, brings a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor to the mix along with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of storage. The Moto G5 Plus takes it up a notch, offering a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with either 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. The Moto G5 has a 5-inch, full HD display while the Moto G5 Plus has a 5.2-inch full HD panel. Both displays have Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Both phones will have Android Nougat out of the box, and prices for the Moto G5 should start at 10.5K, while the Moto G5 Plus should come at 11.4K.
