HMD Global’s flagship gets the latest version of Android
HMD Global has made good on its promise to supply their latest flagship with the latest version of Android, code named Oreo, as users from Europe report that their phones have started to get update notifications. Users from Finland and Poland are getting first dibs on the new version of the most popular mobile operating system on earth, and users with phone model numbers TA-1004 and TA-1012 getting first dibs.

The good news was confirmed by HMD executive Juho Sarvikas via Twitter, and users that are lucky enough to get the update first will be able to enjoy picture-in-picture capability, notification dots, the latest security patch for November as well as other improvements in the OS.
If you’re a Nokia 8 user, fret not – just wait for a little bit since the update takes a while to propagate to all devices.
