As a subtle version, the Red Magic 6R is slimmer and ditches most of the gaming aesthetics found on the vanilla and Pro versions of the Red Magic 6. The back panel gets a subtle pattern, while there’s a special variant that sports a black and yellow motif. The camera on the Red Magic 6R is the same as its more expensive siblings, though it adds a depth sensor and gets a higher-resolution macro camera. The same goes for the selfie snapper, as you get a higher-resolution 16-megapixel snapper.
As for the display, you get a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a fast 144hz refresh rate. Like its more expensive siblings, you get a Snapdragon 888 processor that is paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. You also get shoulder triggers, though they are of the capacitive, touch-sensitive kind.
As for the battery, you get a smaller 4200mAh battery with 55w charging for the China version and 30w for the global models. For software, you are also getting Android 11-based Red Magic OS 4 out of the box.
