NVIDIA Unveils the More Affordable RTX 2060 GPU

For those who want ray tracing capabilities without breaking the bank

If you really, really want a major GPU upgrade but find the RTX 2080 Ti, 2080, and 2070 out of your budget, NVIDIA has you covered: at CES 2019, they announced an affordable version with the RTX 2060.

Classified as a mid-range GPU, the RTX 2060 has 6GB of GDDR6 memory and 240 Tensor Cores, and claims to offer up to 60% better performance than the GTX 1060. During the unveiling, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang claims that the RTX 2060 can run Battlefield V with ray-tracing at 60FPS in 1440p at high settings—but that is if you pair it with a Core i9 processor.

Speaking of affordable, the RTX 2060 has a $349(~Php 18.3k) price tag, which is a good deal considering the RTX 2070 will fetch you almost $500. To make the deal enticing, NVIDIA is bundling a copy of either Battlefield V or Anthem with every purchase. The RTX 2060 will be available starting January 15 and will be available with all graphics cards partners on top of a Founders Edition variant.
