OPPO Announces Dual Rear Camera Equipped R11

Dual cameras on the rear, not the front

OPPO has officially announced their newest dual-camera equipped smartphone, and surprise surprise – it’s not a selfie-focused model for once. The new R11 is obviously aimed at photography buffs, as the new phone sports a dual-camera setup on the rear.

OPPO R11 specs

The two cameras are made up of a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 20-megapixel, 2x optical zoom lens. That’s similar to the front camera setup of their first dual-camera smartphone, the F3 Plus, which had a wide-angle selfie cam and a regular selfie snapper. Speaking of selfies, the R11 has a 20-megapixel front camera. The rear cameras are also able to take great Portrait shots, since the dual-camera setup allows selective software bokeh.

The cameras are powered by Qualcomm’s new Spectra Image Sensor, which is included in the newly introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor that beats in the heart of the R11. Along with that particular processor is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 5.5-inch display is a full HD deal. A 2,9000mAh battery, Android Nougat and the company’s ColorOS UI rounds out the feature set of the R11.

No price has been set as of yet, though rumors point to a $485 (around 24K) price tag when it arrives in China.
