OPPO Announces Snapdragon 855-Powered Reno Ace and Snapdragon 730G-Powered K5 in China

The Reno Ace comes with an insane 65w charging tech

OPPO announced two new phones in China with the Reno Ace and the K5. The Reno Ace is a budget flagship phone with its Snapdragon 855+ processor, 90Hz display, quad rear cameras, and 65w SuperVOOC 2.0 charging tech.

OPPO claims that the Reno Ace’s 65w charging can juice up its 4000mAh battery from zero to 100 in 30 minutes—that is faster than the first-generation 50w SuperVOOC tech used on last year’s R17 Pro. As for the internals, the Reno Ace comes with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM, along with up to 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage.

There’s also a Gundam edition for the Reno Ace, where the phone is dressed up in a Gundam-themed motif, along with specially-themed accessories.

On the other hand, the K5 looks similar to the recently-announced Realme X2, save for the RAM/storage variants and gradient color options.
