The realme 8 Pro Flexes a 108-Megapixel Main Rear Camera

As a follow-up to the realme 7 series, the brand unveiled the realme 8 series in India and the UK. While they succeed the realme 7 series, the differences are quite incremental.

Going with the realme 8 Pro, the headline feature here is the 108-megapixel main camera, which supports 9-to-1 binning and is capable of a lossless zoom of up to 3x. The new sensor also gives the realme 8 Pro new features like an updated Super Nightscape mode and Starry mode.

The display is still AMOLED and stuck at 60hz, but it is brighter at 1000nits and comes with a 180hz touch response rate. The processor is still the same: a Snapdragon 720G that realme has been using since the realme 6 Pro, and the same goes for RAM/Storage configuration. Strange enough, the realme 8 Pro comes with slower charging speeds at 50w VS 65w on the realme 7 Pro.

As for the realme 8, you are getting practically the same set of specs found on its predecessor, though it ditches its 90hz IPS panel for a 60hz Super AMOLED–the same one used on the realme 8 Pro. With the panel upgrade, both realme 8 phones now come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
