Realme Debuts Quad Rear Camera-Sporting Realme 5 Series

They are the first quad-rear camera phones from Realme

Realme steps up with smartphone game with the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. Both phones boast of a quad rear camera setup—a first for the Indian market, Snapdragon processor, big batteries, and Realme’s trademark diamond cut back design.

Starting with the Realme 5 Pro, its quad rear camera setup comprises of a 48-megapixel f/1.79 Sony IMX 586 main camera, an 8-megapixel f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera for close-up shooting, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 portrait camera for depth effects.

For the internals, the Realme 5 Pro gets a more powerful Snapdragon 712 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.

On the other hand, the Realme 5 sports a bigger 6.5-inch display, a bigger 5000mAh battery, and a quad rear camera setup led by a 12-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, an 8-megapixel f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 portrait camera.

Powering the Realme 5 is a Snapdragon 665, making it the second phone—the first being the Mi CC9e / Mi A3—to use Qualcomm’s new processor.

The Realme 5 is priced at Rs 9,999(~Php 7.3k) for the 3GB/32GB model, Rs 10,999(~Php 8.1k) for the 4GB/64GB model, and Rs 11,999(~Php 8.8k) for the 4GB/128GB model. The Realme 5 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 13,999(~Php 10.3k) for the 4GB/64GB model, Rs 14,999(~Php 11k) for the 6GB/64GB model, and Rs 16,999(~Php 12.5k) for the 8GB/128GB model. The pricing does not include local taxes and duties, so Philippine pricing may be different.

The Realme 5 Pro will be available in India starting September 4 while the Realme 5 will be available starting August 27.
