Realme Unveils 64-Megapixel-Sporting Realme XT in India

A Realme 5 Pro on steroids

After teasing it during the Realme 5 launch in India, Realme officially unveiled the Realme XT today. The brand’s hero device is its first smartphone with a 64-megapixel primary rear camera.

For its exterior, the Realme XT boasts of a Hyperbola Light Effect—a new design that Realme claims to be eye-catching in either Pearl Blue and Pearl White. As a premium device, the Realme XT sports a 3D Gorilla Glass 5 back. Up front, you get a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution.

It also comes with the latest Goodix in-display fingerprint sensor that is more responsive compared to previous-generation in-display fingerprint scanners.

Since the Realme XT comes with a Super AMOLED display, it is one of the first Realme phones to support Dark Mode, which will be made available at a later time via OTA.

Like the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, the Realme XT comes with a quad rear camera setup. Accompanying the 64-megapixel f/1.8 Samsung GW1 camera are an 8-megapixel f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 portrait camera. For selfies, the Realme XT comes with a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor.

Like the Realme 5 Pro, the Realme XT is powered by a Snapdragon 712 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh cell with 20w VOOC 3.0 Fast Charging via its USB-C port.

Realme XT Specs

The Realme XT is priced at Rs 15,999(~Php 11.8k) for the 4GB/64GB variant, Rs 16,999(~Php 12.5k) for the 6GB/64GB variant, and Rs 18,999(~Php 13.9k) for the 8GB/128GB variant. It will be available in India starting September 16.

Aside from the Realme XT, the brand teased an upcoming gaming-centric Realme XT variant with a Snapdragon 730G processor and 30w VOOC fast charging. This version is slated to launch this December.
