Confirms 32-megapixel selfie camera, 4000mAh battery
Redmi is set to launch a new budget phone on April 24 with the Redmi Y3. While Xiaomi India’s boss teased about the phone’s selfie capabilities, new teasers confirm some key features. These include a 32-megapixel front camera and a 4000mAh battery. The latter is a singificant upgrade, as the Redmi Y2/S2 only came with a 3080mAh cell.

If that teaser is not enough, an Amazon listing confirms that the Redmi Y3 will have splash resistance, a Snapdragon processor, dual rear cameras, and a textured back.

There’s no word if the Redmi Y3 will make its way outside of India. If ever Redmi decides so, it might be called the Redmi S3.
