Looking Forward to Sony’s New Flagship!
As we enter the third quarter of the year, more and more details are surfacing about the newest flagship of Sony, the Sony Xperia Z5. There’s a lot riding on this device for them since the Sony Xperia Z4/Z3+ received lukewarm reception since it was just a minor step up from the Xperia Z3. Based on the “leaks” though the Sony Xperia Z5 is shaping up to be a formidable contender to the other premium flagships.
Here’s what we know so far about Sony’s new flagship. Please do take this info with a grain of salt as this is still all unconfirmed.
- Powerhouse. It will run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with a super generous serving of 4GB RAM. It will also have fingerprint recognition (rumors are it will be on the home button).
- Marathoner. You can go the distance with this as it is alleged to have a 4,500mAh battery. Halimaw.
- Full line-up. Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra. Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. Full line-up of the Z5 line. This will be a major launch.
- Perfect for Smartphone Shutterbugs. 21MP Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor, with 4K video recording support and HDR.
The Xperia Z5 will also refine the Omnibalance Design further. Hopefully they find a way to make the bezels much thinner since that was our main complaint with the previous Xperias. Also they should try to keep the device water-resistant and shockproof.
