Now better and faster
While Starmobile’s latest offering, the Octa is getting all the attention (both negative and positive) from everyone in the local tech sphere, let’s not forget that the company has also refreshed its Engage 8 Quad tablet with a faster, better model. The Engage 8 Quad+ has a few key improvements from its predecessor, namely a faster processor, better GPU.

As you can see, Starmobile has bumped the clock speed of the Engage 8 Quad+ to 1.6GHz over the previous model’s 1GHz, and included a more powerful GPU. It still sports the aluminum back of the previous model, and has a slightly bigger battery, at 4000mAh compared to the previous model’s 3800mAh. The unsightly camera bumb on the back is gone, replaced by a more traditional looking camera module. Starmobile has retained the same Php 6990 price point for the Engage 8 Quad+ as its previous model.
