A brand-new product line

While LG and Samsung’s official announcements were riddled with leaks, Sony has managed to keep their newest phones under wraps before their announcement. Meet the newly launched Xperia X lineup. One of those phones is their first ever Snapdragon 820-equipped smartphone, the Xperia X Performance.

Like its namesake, the X Performance is aimed at delivering the very best mobile performance possible in a handset. Sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and the same design language that made their previous top-end Xperia phones great.

The Xperia XA on the other hand focuses on camera, battery and design. The device features an edge-to-edge display with a slight curve, as well as a 5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6755 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2300mAh battery. While battery capacity is not stellar, Sony says that it’s capable of up to two days of continuous use using their smart battery management. It also uses Qnovo Adaptive Charging tech.

Right smack dab in the middle of the two phones is the Xperia X, sporting Qualcomm’s new 650 hexa-core processor, and a next-generation camera with Predictive Hybrid AF. Just like its other brothers, the Xperia X sports a slightly curved glass display in its body.
