TCL Officially Unwraps Two New Phones: TCL 950 and TCL 580

Two days ago, Unbox reported the semi-official TENAA specifications for Chinese brand TCL’s premium phone, the TCL 950.

With a powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset under its hood, the sleek TCL 950 is the company’s newest flagship device. TCL also unveiled its little sibling, the TCL 580, during the recent product event.

The premium TCL 950 is pegged at 3299 CNY (~Php 24K) while the TCL 580 will be priced at the 1399 CNY (~Php 10.1K) mark.

Various tech bloggers have earlier noted that the TCL 950 is basically the FHD version of Blackberry’s upcoming DTEK60, which shares almost the same key specs, but with a QHD display instead. Consumers looking for a better screen resolution might want to wait for the DTEK60, albeit at an expected higher price point.
