The Canon EOS RP is the Smallest Full-Frame EOS Mirrorless Camera

It comes at a very competitive price too

Canon is getting dead serious in its push for the RF system with the launch of the EOS RP. Marketed as an entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS RP comes with a 26.2-megapixel sensor paired with a DIGIC 8 sensor.

While it is smaller than the latest EOS xxxD camera, the EOS RP packs a number of features: 4K video recording at 24 or 25P in 8-bit 4:2:2, 4K timelapse shooting at 60FPS, Dual Pixel Autofocus, 5FPS burst shooting, USB charging, weather sealing, and a native ISO range of 100-25600. It comes with an electronic viewfinder and a flippable 3-inch touchscreen display, which is impressive considering its size. Instead of the EOS R’s controversial touch bar, the EOS RP comes with conventional selector buttons.

Unfortunately, like the EOS R, you will have to deal with massive cropping when shooting at 4K, so that might turn others off. However, it should not be a big deal, as Canon gave the EOS RP an aggressive price, which starts at $1299(~Php 67.8k) for the body, extension grip, and RF-EF mount adapter.

Other options include two kit lens bundles: the one with an EF 24-105mm f/3.5 – 5.6 IS lens will sell for $1699(~Php 88.7k) while the one with the RF 24-105mm f/4 IS lens will sell for $2199(~Php 114.7k).
