The Meizu 17 is the Brand’s First Phone with a Punch-Hole Display

The Pro model gets a class-leading ultra-wide-angle camera

Meizu announced its 2020 flagship today with the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro. Both phones adopt a punch-hole display for the 20-megapixel selfie snapper–a first for Meizu–and uses a 6.6 AMOLED panel that supports 90Hz refresh rates and HDR10+. It is a flagship through and through with its Snapdragon 865 processor and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Meizu 17 Pro gets up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, while the vanilla model gets up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Keeping the lights on is a 4500mAh battery with 30w USB-PD charging. The Pro model also gets 27w wireless charging.

The Meizu 17 Pro’s quad rear camera setup is headlined by a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main camera, accompanied by a 32-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a class-leading 129-degree FOV, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 8x lossless zoom, and a Samsung ToF sensor. The vanilla model retains the 64-megapixel main camera, and comes with a secondary 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
