The Meizu M6 Note Arrives: Move Over, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X

Meizu is finally back in the game!

This is a pleasant surprise from Meizu. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently unveiled the M6 Note, a Snapdragon 625-wielding mid-ranger with a pair of potent rear cameras and a sleek design. Looking at its spec sheet and pricing, it’s pretty clear that Meizu is aiming to dethrone the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X off its pedestal. Let’s see whether the Meizu M6 Note is up to the challenge.

Edit: According to XiaomiToday‘s unboxing post, the Meizu M6 Note does not have a USB Type-C port.

Meizu M6 Note

On paper, it looks like the M6 Note triumphs over the Redmi Note 4X in the camera and fast charging aspects. The M6 Note’s Sony IMX362 primary rear snapper, in particular, is packed with great features that make it a strong and reliable camera for all-purpose use, even in low-light conditions. The secondary rear shooter is most likely a depth sensor and should provide the setup with better bokeh shots.

It remains to be seen whether the Meizu M6 Note will reach Philippine shores. Given Meizu’s official presence in the country, and the fact that the M5 Note is currently retailing in their official store on Lazada, there’s a high chance that we’ll be seeing this Redmi Note 4X “killer” here soon.
