Meizu has officially unwrapped the successor to their Pro 6 phablet, the flagship tier Meizu Pro 6 Plus. This premium handset is powered by an Exynos 8890, the same SoC found in Samsung’s Galaxy S7 flagship series. Let’s see how this baby stacks up to the competition.

Currently up for pre-order at Meizu’s official site, the Pro 6 Plus comes in two flavors. The 64GB storage version comes with the base 2.0GHz clocked Exynos 8890 and is priced at $435 (~Php 22K). The 128GB variant with an overclocked 2.3GHz processor is pegged at a higher $479 (~Php 24.5K).
No word yet from Meizu on which markets the Pro 6 Plus will be releasing in, but if its predecessor, the Pro 6, is already on local shores, then we might be seeing it in Philippine shelves sooner than later. Let’s hope the local division stamps an alluring price tag on this powerful baby.
