The Reno Ace last year introduced the fastest wired charging speeds on a phone with its 65w SuperVOOC 2.0 solution. This time around, the Ace2 goes one step further with the fastest wireless charging solution in the market today. Dubbed AirVOOC, OPPO’s solution delivers 40w wireless charging—that can fully top up the Ace2’s 4000mAh battery in roughly an hour. To enjoy those wireless charging speeds, OPPO also launched a proprietary AirVOOC charger that comes with a built-in fan to dissipate heat.
Like its predecessor, the Ace2 is a flagship through and through with a Snapdragon 865 processor, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.0 storage. You still get a quad-rear camera setup, though the Ace2 swaps the Reno Ace’s 13-megapixel telephoto camera for a 2-megapixel macro camera. You get the same 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate and 180hz touch sampling rate, with the Ace2 going for a trendier punch-hole that houses the 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Other features of the Ace2 include 65w SuperVOOC 2.0 wired charging, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, in-display fingerprint scanner, 4D vapor chamber cooling, and Android 10-based ColorOS 7.
