vivo officially unveiled the X70 series in China, which introduces a few key upgrades from the X60 series despite looking similar to their predecessors.

While they keep the same display (flat on the vanilla model, curved on the Pro model), the X70 Pro retains the same Exynos 1080 processor used on the China variant, while the X70 uses a Dimensity 1200 processor. Both the X70 and X70 Pro get bigger batteries at 4400mAh and 4500mAh respectively, with the vanilla model getting a faster 44w charging solution.

The main upgrades on both phones lie on the rear cameras, which vivo claims uses newer sensors despite the slight downgrade in resolution. Both phones come with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. They both also use an IMX766V sensor for the main camera but differ in resolution: 40-megapixels on the vanilla model, and 50-megapixels on the Pro version. On top of that, the X70 Pro adds an 8-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, along with vivo’s in-house V1 ISP.

While they are already official in China, vivo has a separate global announcement for the X70 and X70 Pro. In China, the X70 Pro will be available on September 17 with a starting price of CNY 4299(~Php 33.3k), while the X70 will be available on September 30 with a starting price of CNY 3699(~Php 28.7k).
