The Xperia 10 III is Sony’s First Mid-Range 5G Phone

Sony is one of the few brands that is still catching up on the 5G train, and the announcement of the Xperia 10 III marks the first time they have a mid-range 5G offering in their smartphone portfolio.

Sony Xperia 10 III specs:

Despite having the same, tall 6.0-inch OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, the Xperia 10 III comes with Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Sony even managed to make it even more compact than Iits predecessor by shaving off a few millimeters.

The front and rear cameras are practically the same with its predecessor, though the Xperia 10 III gets a better 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. To recap, that involves an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, 12-megapixel main camera, and 8-megapixel selfie snapper.

The main upgrades here are the processor and battery. For the former, you are getting a 5G-ready Snapdragon 690 processor, while the latter is much bigger at 4500mAh and supports up to 30w USB-PD charging.

Despite being a mid-ranger, the Xperia 10 III gets notable features like an IP68 rating, headphone jack with LDAC and Hi-Res Audio support, and a 10FPS burst shooting mode with auto exposure adjustment.

Sony Xperia 10 III Availability

Sony has yet revealed the official price yet, save for saying that it will be available in early summer in Europe. It has been a while since Sony made its Xperia phones available in the Philippines, so we’re unsure if the Xperia 10 III will ever make it to our shores.
