The company’s new selfie-shooter is here

Vivo has officially unveiled the pricing of their new V5s smartphone in the Philippines today. If you remember, the V5s is a brand-new device that has a lot in common with the company’s already existing V5 smartphone.

Vivo V5s specs

  • 1.5GHz MediaTek 6750 octa-core processor
  • Mali T860 GPU
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 5.5-Inch HD IPS Display; 720 x 1280 Resolution
  • 64GB of expandable storage
  • 13-megapixel rear camera, PDAF, LED Flash
  • 20-megapixel front camera f/2.0 aperture
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Fingerprint Scanner, HiFi Audio
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow, FunTouch UI
  • 3000mAh Battery

As with their V5, the V5s puts an emphasis on selfies, thanks to a 20-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a soft-light feature that makes it easier to take selfies in low-light. We’ve yet to see the phone in person (we’ll get to it later) but apparently the device will retail at Php 14,990 when it hits stores.

Vivo and Oppo both owned by the same company, loves to use mediatek chipsets, and then overprice them. One of my co workers has an oppo selfie phone running on mediatek and it cant even run side by side with my snapdragon 800 powered phone lol.
