vivo’s NEX 3 Has Waterfall Display, 64-megapixel Camera, Snapdragon 855 Plus

That display is amazing

Sister company OPPO might have shown off the 90-degree, Waterfall display first, but vivo is the first company to actually offer the tech in a commercial product.

The large, 6.89-inch Waterfall, full view display uses a POLED panel that wraps around the side of the frame, stopping halfway through.

The all-screen panel is uninterrupted by a notch, which is made possible thanks to a motorized pop-up module that houses the 16-megapixel front camera.

The display also houses an under-display fingerprint scanner. There’s also facial recognition tech built into the selfie camera as well.

vivo took a design cue from their APEX 2019 concept phone and removed the physical power and volume buttons on the side, replacing them with pressure-sensitive, capacitive keys.

The circular camera module houses a 64-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel wide angle camera, and 13-megapixel 2x optical zoom camera.

Inside the phone sits Qualcomm’s newest processor, the Snapdragon 855 Plus, paired with either 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. A custom vapor cooling solution keeps the phone cool and free from thermal throttling when you’re playing games non-stop. vivo will be offering the NEX 3 in both 5G and 4G variants.

Keeping the lights on is a 4500mAh battery. vivo also throws in a 44w fast charging tech to quickly top up the phone from 0.
