Xiaomi Debuts MIX Flip with Killer Pricing

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6 has a very competitive rival with Xiaomi, as the brand unveiled their own offering with the MIX Flip.

It does give the Galaxy Z Flip6 a run for the money as the Mix Flip is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor that’s paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. You also get a vapor chamber on the MIX Flip, along with a bigger 4780mAh battery that supports 67w charging.

Aside from the 4-inch wraparound display that’s similar to what HONOR and Motorola have to offer–save for a 120hz refresh rate, 1.5k resolution and 3000nits peak brightness, the MIX Flip features Leica-branded cameras that consists of a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 f/1.7 main camera and a 50-megapixel f/2.0 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Xiaomi also tweaked HyperOS on the MIX Flip to make good use of the outer display’s screen estate, with over 200 apps optimized to run on a 3.5-inch display

The inner display is bigger than other flip foldables at 6.86 inches, and Xiaomi is using a LTPO panel–also with a 120hz refresh rate. Like the MIX Fold 4, the MIX Flip has a Surge T1 antenna chip for better overall connectivity, along with the same 6M42 aluminum alloy used for the middle frame and a compact version dual-link hinge’s internal mechanism. Xiaomi claims a folding lifespan of 500,000 times with the MIX Flip.

The MIX Flip is priced at CNY 5999 in China for the 12GB/256GB variant, which is roughly Php 49k when converted–and undercutting the Galaxy Z Flip6’s price by a significant margin.
