Amazing durability from Sony’s Xperia Z2!
There’s a number of phones nowadays that are water resistant, meaning, they’re capable of being dunked in water for a certain amount of time without dying. Note that we said “certain amount of time” – these gadgets aren’t designed to be fully water proof, and sooner or later water will defeat the seals and render them useless.
Apparently, that’s not the case with the Xperia Z2. Swede Alexander Maxén accidentally dropped his Xperia Z2 into the seabed while on holiday, with the phone sinking to more than 10 meters deep. Six weeks later his friend managed to recover the phone, and although it had some physical damage, was still completely working.
So if you’re on vacation and accidentally drop your Xperia Z2 down to the watery depths – chances are that it’ll still be alive if you’re able to recover it.
