BPI Clarifies Statement, Updates Only Apply To Small Number Of Clients

The Bank of the Philippine Islands’ advisory on updated client information has generated quite a stir online, and rightly so, since there was a lot of confusion on how many people the advisory affected. The bank has since sent a statement via Facebook that clarifies the advisory, saying that only a “limited number” of individuals are affected by the advisory, and if you are affected by the issue, you should have gotten a message from the bank itself, either through email (check your spam folder) or text.

If you are one of the people affected, BPI has extended the deadline for compliance until September 30. You also either send the requirements via email to them as well as deliver it directly to the BPI branch closest to you for convenience.
