Converge Bida Fiber is the Most Affordable Postpaid Fiber Service

After announcing its Surf2Sawa prepaid fiber service, Converge wants to cover all markets with its Bida Fiber postpaid service. Positioned below its mainstream FiberX postpaid services, Converge CEO Dennis Uy explained in the company’s 2H 2023 briefing that Bida Fiber targets those in the lower C to D markets, specifically those who want an affordable fiber internet solution and can allot a monthly payment for it.

Making Bida Fiber different from FiberX and other similar services is that Converge makes sure that their users will not exceed the 6 connected devices limit. To put that into perspective, that connection speed can handle six laptops streaming 4K video (at around 4Mbps) simultaneously. Unlike FiberX, the modem used for Bida Fiber is strictly WiFi–and that LAN ports are disabled.

It’s also more affordable with a monthly fee of Php 888, and promises download speeds of up to 35Mbps. Being a postpaid offering, the application process for Bida Fiber is similar to FiberX, where 2 valid IDs is required. Those applying will need to made an advance payment of one month, along with a Php 1,000 installation fee that can be paid in installments. Do note that Bida Fiber has a 36 month (3 years) lock-in period.

As of writing this story, Bida Fiber covers 500 municipalities around the Philippines, and they are working for a full coverage just life Surf2Sawa.
