If you’re a Globe subscriber, you’ll be happy to know that the company is expanding their 5G network to more areas in Metro Manila. The company already has 5G presence in areas like the Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Makati, Rockwell Center, and Ortigas, as well as in strategic areas along EDSA and C5. This week, the network has released a new list of areas where their 5G network is available.
Here are the new areas where Globe’s 5G is available:
- Quezon City: Commonwealth Ave., Tandang Sora Road, Mindanao Ave, Luzon Ave.
- Manila: Abad Santos Ave., Rizal Ave., Honorio Lopez Blvd.
- Marikina: Sumulong Highway, Bagong Silang
- Caloocan: Quirino Highway, C3 Road, Congressional Road Ext.
- Valenzuela: Pan-Philippine Highway, Tamaraw Hill Road
- Mandaluyong: Shaw Boulevard; Boni Ave.
- Pasig: C. Raymundo Ave., Medical City Bus Stop
- Las Pinas: Alabang Zapote Road, Marcos Alvarez Ave.
- Makati: Pasong Tamo, JP Rizal, and strategic areas in Magallanes Village
- Taguig: Lawton Avenue, Philippine Army, McKinley Road, and Forbes Park
- Paranaque: East Service Road, Dona Soledad Ave., Dr. A. Santos Ave.
- Strategic areas along SLEX and NLEX
Prior to these locations, 5G-ready areas outside of Manila already include Carmona, Cavite; Barangay Buting, Pasig City; and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
According to Globe’s projections, consumers may experience max speeds of up to 100 Mpbs on a max data of 2TB vs the 4G network that tops out at 100 Mbps with just 150 GB of data. Be that as it may, this will all boil down to your location and the availability of their 5G network.
