As part of its efforts to provide reliable transportation services to Filipinos, Grab claims that their booking time is now more efficient. For the first half of the year, Grab claims that nine out of 10 passengers was able to book a ride with an average of 21 seconds.
Grab credits the improved booking times with its fir fare system, new booking features, and the expansion of the TNVS driver pool.
For Grab’s fares, Chief Operating Officer Ronald Roda said that they make the best effort to foster a steady demand-supply market with cost effective services. “”Fair fares mean our driver-partners can earn a living wage enough to cover their everyday expenses and costs related to maintaining a vehicle. Along with this, we also maintain service accessibility and affordability of our services for consumers – all in accordance with set fare guidelines by the LTFRB,” Roda said.
As for its services, Grab added new mobility solutions catering to everyone’s needs. Advance Booking is geared towards timely airport rides, where they can book up to 7 days in advance with a reliability rate of 98%.
Group Rides, on the other hand, accommodates colleagues who have to be picked up in different locations while sharing a standard base fare.
There’s also multi-taxi type booking that allows users to book different types of cares in a single booking process to reduce booking times.
Grab also mentioned that the ride-hailing industry is moving closer to achieving a demand-supply balance after the LTFRB released around 25,000 TNVS slots in 2023.
