Maya, the #1 digital bank in the Philippines has teamed up with Landers Superstore to introduce their first-ever credit card dubbed the Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card.
The card is Maya’s first-ever credit card, and even if you’re not a fan of Lander’s (or don’t shop at the store at all) there are quite a few reasons why you’d want to get one from them:
Convenient application and approval process
The biggest reason why you’d want to get a Maya credit card is the fact that you don’t have to fill up paper application forms and talk to anyone to get one. The application process is all done through the Maya app–no need to talk to bank reps to get approved.
You decide when your monthly cut-off is
No more hoping that the bank gives you a cut-off date that works with you. When you apply, YOU are the one that actually decides when the cut-off is, not Maya. This is great since not everyone gets paid on the same date.
You don’t have to call the bank to halt online payments
Another great feature of Maya’s card is the fact that you have full control over the card and what it’s used for. And when we say full, we do mean full–you can turn off online payment functionality, foreign transactions, chip payments, cash advances and more with a simple tap of the screen. This allows you to fully customize your experience depending on what your needs are, and turn off the rest so you don’t have to worry about security breaches or unauthorized payments.
It’s one of the safest cards out there
We all worry about fraud when it comes to credit cards, and while there’s always the possibility with any card, Maya’s offering is probably one of the safest out there. Aside from the controls that we’ve already talked about, Maya’s card also allows you to put a limit on daily spending, as well as issue expiring CVVs when you shop online. This adds another layer of security and should deter any massive spending sprees even if your account is breached.
You can also freeze your card with a single tap on the app, meaning all transactions will be temporarily halted, perfect when you can’t quite find your card in your wallet or if you misplace it but are confident you’ll be able to find it again (because tito moments come for us all). If you think your card is gone and will need to be replaced, you can completely block it from the app as well – no need to call the bank.
You get cashback rewards from everywhere, not just Landers
While the card is specifically made in partnership with Landers Superstore, you should still consider it even if you’re not planning on shopping there. That’s because the card gives you a 2% cashback on dining and 1% on everything else. And when you do shop at Landers, you get a whopping 5% cashback.
