The realme V11 5G Is An Affordable Budget 5G Phone For the Masses

Yet another budget 5G phone has been announced in China, and this time it’s the realme V11 5G. The new phone is realme’s latest and currently, the most affordable 5G-powered headset to be announced this year, with pricing that’s far lower than what we’ve seen being offered in the Philippines.

The phone’s main draw is its 5G capability, made possible by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor inside of it. The Dimensity 700 is the Taiwanese chipmaker’s attempt at making affordable 5G-capable chipsets and is an octa-core processor made up of an Arm Cortex-A76 core (Up to 2.2GHz) and an Arm Cortex-A55 core (Up to 2GHz) paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Aside from that, the phone has the typical specs of a budget phone: 6.52-inch HD+ IPS display, dual camera headlined by a 13-megapixel main shooter paired with a depth sensor, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery pack with 18W fast charging.

The phone comes with Android 11 as well as realme’s UI 2.0 layered on top, and will be offered first in China. Of course, a phone this affordable that has 5G will probably be coming to the Philippines as well, especially since both Globe and Smart are rapidly expanding their 5G network.

As far as price goes, the realme V11 5G goes for RMB 1,199 in China, or around Php 8.9K in our currency. We have no idea what the price for this will be in the Philippines. But if realme V11 5G does arrive here in the Philippines close to its original price in China, then it’s perfectly positioned to take the crown as the most affordable 5G phone in this country.
