Strong Budget Contenders? POCO M5, M5s Price in the Philippines

POCO continues to strengthen its budget mid-range offerings with the M5 series. Consisting of a vanilla and a -s model, both phones have unique features that target the under Php 10k price point in the Philippines.

The POCO M5s is the more expensive of the two despite using an older Helio G95 processor. It’s more expensive because it comes with an AMOLED display, 33w wired charging, a higher-resolution 64-megapixel main rear camera, a 13-megapixel selfie snapper, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

The M5, on the other hand, features a newer Helio G99 processor that uses a 6nm process, along with a 90hz IPS display with 240hz touch response rate. However, it scrimps on some features–you only get a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, along with a pair of 2-megapixel cameras accompanying the 50-megapixel main camera and 18w wired charging.

While the M5 has a newer processor, the Helio G95 used on the M5s has a better GPU, giving it support for 4K video recording–a feature that’s lacking on the Helio G99.
