Walkthrough: Sony Booth at the Tokyo Game Show 2016

As expected, the Sony booth featured all the latest products that were unveiled earlier this month. The booth’s main stage featured gameplay demos and trailers for the PlayStation VR plus incoming games like Horizon Zero Dawn,  Gran Turismo,  and the sequel to Gravity Rush.

Scattered along the sides of the main stage were stations where you could try out some of the latest titles, such as: Final Fantasy XV and other titles in the franchise,  Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8, Gravity Rush 2, and Gran Turismo.

Of course, the Sony’s TGS experience wouldn’t be complete without seeing the new hardware they recently released. Sony showed off the new Playstation 4 and Playstation 4 Pro; sadly, they were behind glass display cases so we couldn’t do an initial hands-on review for both devices but check back and we’ll see what we can do. In the display were also the other peripherals to use along with the Playstation VR.

Tucked in a little corner of the Sony booth is the special edition PlayStation 4 for Final Fantasy XV, called the Luna Edition. The Luna Edition, no surprise here,  will be the newly unveiled, slim PlayStation 4 in black with 1TB of storage that has lunar art atop the console with golden embellishments for Final Fantasy XV. The controller takes a more subtle approach in terms of the Final Fantasy branding.

Lastly,  we get another look at The Last Guardian as we shed another tear because it has been pushed back yet again. Photos or videos weren’t allowed in the viewing area, but we’re pretty sure you’ve seen all the Last Guardian footage from previous gaming conventions. If you haven’t, you’re going to have to take our word when we say that it was awesome and we can’t wait till it actually comes out — whenever that may be.
