Android N = Nutella? Google Top Exec Teases Next Name For Android 7.0

nutella

Let the guesses roll in!

As with every new Android version release, guesses for the name of the next dessert theme are rolling in. While our personal favorite is Android Nougat, Google’s SVP for Android Hiroshi Lockheimer (which we managed to interview during MWC) dropped a clue when he posted about the release of the Android N developer preview on Medium.

So, the burning question that’s on everyone’s mind: what will the N release be named? We’re nut tellin’ you yet.

That’s obviously a reference to Nutella, brand of sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread, that’s currently owned by Ferrero. If that’s true, it’ll be the second corporate tie-up for Google after their team-up with Nestle and KitKat.

Obviously that’s still a guess at this point since there’s no announcement as of yet, but what do you think? What would the next name of Android be?
