According to what was found inside the APK file
With phones bragging about portrait mode these days, it seems that Instagram is working on integrating the said mode into its stories as well.
In an article by TechCrunch, one of its readers found a portrait shutter icon hidden inside Instagram’s APK file. The icon is said to be part of the many new functions under Instagram Stories’ in-app camera. This could mean that even if your phone does not have portrait mode built-in, Instagram can let you have that option, at least via the Stories camera.
As to how will it work remains unknown, we’re guessing that Instagram will go beyond the usual bokeh effects for this yet-to-be-released function.
