People Can Now Send Money Via PayPal In Facebook Messenger

The feature is rolling out in the US first

There’s yet another way to send cash in Facebook Messenger, at least in the US. The social networking site has teamed up with PayPal to allow people to send money to each other via Messenger. People using the chat service previously had the option to shop and pay in stores using the chat services last year but it’s only now that it’s allowing users to send money to their friends and family.

The option is only available in the United States, though it’s obvious that this particular payment method will be rolling out in other countries. PayPal has also created a new service bot that you can access via Messenger as well so you can get payment and account support directly in the chat service.

Facebook has been adding quite a few payment systems in its Messenger service. Locally the company has allowed PayMaya and G-Cash customers to send money to respective users via chat as well.
