Super Mario Run Now Available on iOS

Who can forget the moment when Shigeru Miyamoto took the stage at the iPhone 7 launch to let everyone know that Mario was coming to iOS. Well,  today is the day. After a long time resisting the lure of the mobile gaming platform for years,  Nintendo has finally unleashed its favorite,  goomba-squashing plumber on the App Store.

Super Mario Run mostly sticks to the classic roots of the game,  where you must help navigate Mario through various obstacles to rescue Princess Peach from the clutches of Bowser. The difference this time around,  aside from using a D-pad plus the A and B buttons,  is that you must do it in style by pulling off stunts; the greater the stunt,  the greater the points. Speaking of controls, Super Mario Run was designed to be controlled with one hand through taps to let Mario know where to go and the timing of your taps signal what sort of hi-jinks he’ll do.

There are three modes available in Super Mario Run:

Super Mario Run is now available on the iOS App Store. You can get the app for free but you will need to pay Php 466 to access all six (6) worlds after you’ve played through the demo.
