Lots of New Devices with Various Price Points and Features

Based on the various leaks we’ve seen, Cherry Mobile is gearing up for a monstrous smartphone line-up revamp and launch this Q4 2016. The flyer that was floating around Facebook and forums showed that they have a lot of devices at different price points (ranging from Php2,999 – Php13,000) with different selling points. Given the sheer number of devices in their line-up, their biggest challenge will probably be effectively communicating all of their new products since it’s a pretty long list! While there are a lot of notably spec’d or priced devices in the flyer, we have our eyes keenly set on two of ’em.

The Flyer

Cherry Mobile Flare X2 (Php7,999)

First up is the successor of the immensely successful Cherry Mobile Flare X, the Cherry Mobile Flare X2.

Cherry Mobile Flare X2 (Speculated Specs)

What’s so special about it? Simply put, it has everything you’d practically want for a smartphone. It should be quite a performance beast for it’s price as it’s rumored to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. On top of that it has a Fingerprint Scanner and a 5.5-inch FHD IPS Display.

We can’t vouch for the camera capabilities yet though so we’ll have to wait for a full review for that one (so hold your horses before pulling the trigger when this launches).

Cherry Mobile S5 Power (Php7,999)

Next up we have the Cherry Mobile S5 Power. While the Flare X2 was more about performance, the Cherry Mobile S5 Power was built for you to go the distance.

I mean look at that thing. They stuffed a friggin’ 6050mAh battery pack into a 5.5-inch device. That’s just wild. Our only reservation about it is the Mediatek MT6753 Octa-core processor. Hopefully it can deliver on performance since it’s coupled with 3GB RAM.

Again, please note that we haven’t actually reviewed these devices yet. We’re just saying that among the bunch, these are the ones that fascinated us the most. We’ll definitely do our best to get our hands on all of the new Cherry Mobile smartphones ASAP so that we can revert back to you guys with reviews.

Apart from these two, the other two initial eye-catchers are the Cherry Mobile Flare Infinity (the new flagship with edge-to-edge display) and Cherry Mobile Flare Maxx (Phablet with Giant Battery Pack). As we get more information about the other new smartphones (or tablets), we’ll let you guys know so keep checking back with us in the next few days.
