HMD Global Announces US-Exclusive 5G Phone with the Nokia G300

It seems that we will have to wait a while for that much-rumored 5G flagship Nokia phone, as HMD Global announced another entry-level 5G device that is powered by a Snapdragon 480 processor with the Nokia G300. While it may appear to be similar to the Nokia G50 that was announced last September, this phone will be exclusive to the US market–a similar strategy that OnePlus is doing with its 5G phones.

Nokia G300 5G specs

Despite looking identical to the Nokia G50, the Nokia G300 gets a smaller 6.52-inch HD+ IPS display with a sizeable chin, along with a smaller 4470mAh battery to boot (the 18w wired charging support is still there). You are limited to a 4GB/64GB variant, and the main rear camera is downgraded to a 13-megapixel main shooter. Aside from retaining the 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor, the Nokia G300 has camera features like Night mode, EIS, OZO audio surround, and wind noise cancellation. Like the Nokia G50, you also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack as well.

The Nokia G300 is priced at $200(~Php 10.2k) and is exclusive to the US via prepaid carriers Straight Talk and TracFone Wireless
