HMD Global Announces Nokia G50 5G with Snapdragon 480

If the Nokia X10, X20, or XR20 feels to expensive for a Snapdragon 480-powered 5G device, HMD Global announced a more affordable option with the Nokia G50 5G.

Being a G-series phone, the G50 5G comes with 2 years of major Android updates and 3 years of security updates (The X-series come with 3 years of major Android updates and 4 years of security updates).

Like the X10, the G50 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 480 processor that is paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Being a G-series phone, you get a 5000mAh battery that is paired with 18w wired charging.

The G50 5G has a triple rear camera setup similar to the X10 save for the omission of the macro camera and Zeiss optics. The display is bigger at 6.82-inches, but you are only getting an HD+ resolution and 70% NTSC coverage. The punch-hole is home to an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dedicated Google Assistant button, WiFi 6, and NFC.

Nokia G50 5G Price

The Nokia G50 5G is priced at 270 Euros(~Php 16k) for the 4GB/64GB variant. European pricing is usually higher, so expect the price to be lower in Asian markets.
