HONOR 70 Series Debut 54-megapixel IMX 800 Sensor

Six months after announcing the 60 Series, HONOR made the 70 Series official in China. This time around, there’s a Pro+ variant that comes with a more powerful processor than the regular Pro model. All three variants share the same design with the vanilla model being slightly smaller.

Aside from an updated design, the main upgrade for the HONOR 70 Series is its use of a custom 1/1.49″ IMX800 sensor, which has 54-megapixels and 1.0um pixels.

The HONOR 70 Pro uses the same 6.78-inch display found on its predecessor, and the same goes for the 50-megapixel selfie snapper. This time around, the third camera on the HONOR 70 Pro is an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. Charging speeds have also been upgraded to 100w–though you get a smaller 4600mAh battery.

The only difference between the Pro and Pro+ is the processor: the former uses a Dimensity 8000, while the latter uses a Dimensity 9000.

The vanilla HONOR 70 is practically the same as its predecessor save for the new main camera. You also get a Snapdragon 778G+ processor (not Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 as initially rumored), along with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display and a 4800mAh battery with support for 66w charging.
