The Snapdragon 750G is a Snapdragon 730G with 5G Capabilities

When it comes to Snapdragon processors, the majority of brands have been equipping their phones with Snapdragon 700-series processors since they are a good balance between the 800-series’ performance and 600-series’ affordability. While the Snapdragon 765G has been the go-to processor of choice for premium mid-range 5G smartphones, Qualcomm is adding an affordable alternative with the Snapdragon 750G.

Poised as a successor to the popular Snapdragon 730G, the new processor gets a few upgrades along with 5G. Here’s what makes the Snapdragon 750G different from the Snapdragon 730G.

Which phone(s) will be the first to use the Snapdragon 750G?

The processor is expected to be available to smartphones by the end of the year, with Xiaomi confirming to be one of the first brands to use the Snapdragon 750G. Aside from Xiaomi, a source code from the recently-announced Galaxy A42 5G reveals that it will be using the Snapdragon 750G processor as well.
